    The Digi Shack's Sketch Challenge

Hey Everybody... how was your weekend?! I had fun with the fam, as usual. We had a BBQ on the 4th to celebrate my Step-Father-In-Law's birthday, and of course to celebrate USA. The kids popped some fireworks. Just CY4 tho', Cy n' I stayed in the truck, and watched CY4 n' his cousins go at it. We stayed clear of the smoke... saw from afar the fireworks at Pearl Harbor.

Anyways, when I got home, I blurfed a little to see what everybody was doing, and I got stuck on The Digi Shack's page over at SNR. Toni had a sketch challenge going on, with a freebie image. Well, I would send you her way, but the image already expired.... so sorry! Maybe next time, I'll be quicker. I thought her image was funny n' cute, so I had to play along. But really, I should be creating the project for the CSAYL challenge instead. Heh Heh... so, here I am, @ 10:39 pm, posting my creation for the Digi Shack's challenge. Oh, and I'm having dessert at the same time - guess what it is?! It's Cocoa Pebbles cereal... LOL!!!

Anyways the image that was a freebie were these 2 chickens talking stories with each other, and I don't know why - but when I see chicken, I think "kitchen", maybe they kinda sound the same? Maybe because there is that chicken design for the kitchen? Or maybe because that's usually where I see chicken, in my kitchen (in a pan!!). LOL... nonetheless, a kitchen reminds me of the color red. NO - My kitchen is not red, it's just the color that comes to mind when I think of a kitchen. RED... so that's how I concluded that my card must included the color red. LOL.. the buttons that I used were these gorgeous buttons that I receive from my Glama Gurl Sister, Vina. Which by the way started her very own blog over at Midnight Expressions. You have gotta check her out - she's got some pretty creations to share with us all!!

For my card, I used the Spot n' Dots CB embossing folder, DSP behind the image is from DCWV, and the DSP going across the card is from American Crafts. The size of this card is 4 x 9 - it'll fit in a letter sized envelope. I colored the image with my Copics. the chicken on the left turned out awright - but the one on the right, we'll it's neck looks kinda blobby. I don't know what happen - I think I was trying to blend, blend, blend, and before I knew it - the red was escaping the lines. LOL... ahhhh, it's ok, it still turned out ok.
Ok, I better going and work on my CSAYL challenge... Hope you're having a good night!! It's now 10:56 pm. So nighty night!!!

    Hugs,
    Jen

    Hello Kitty Baby Image #1

Hello Again! I had time to post 1 more project before I head out - but this is going to be quick. I promise. Here's a card I created using a Hello Kitty image I found via the internet. Embossed folder is from Sizzix, Pink Plaid from Martha Stewart, colored with my copics. If you would like a copy of this image, I would love to share it with you. Just email me at littlecs7@gmail.com, and ask for "Hello Kitty Baby Image #1". The iridescent paper I got from the Expo I attended about 2 weeks ago. That's all I got... paper, paper, paper!!! LOL.... BTW - Hello Kitty is sucking her thumb, although it looks like she giving you the finger... =0)

ok, this time, I really gotta go!

    Hugs,
    Jen

    Princess Anya

Happy 4th of July US Sisters!! Hope you are all having a grand time today.... I have things to do today too - but none of it include going to the beach. LOL!! I'm heading to Disciples in Training soon, and then later on tonight to a party for my Step-Father-In-Law. I think he's turning 60. So, that should be fun. I always love a BBQ. I sure hope it ain't hot n' humid tonight tho'.

Anyways, here is another creation I made using Greeting Farm. This one is called Princess Anya. I wanted to see her in a green dress, because Ms. Wini, the person I gave it to, LOVES the color green. So thought it would be nice to see Princess Anya in a green gown. This is Wini's birthday card, which I made for way back when... her birthday was actually in May, but since I was sick back then, and my sister Nasha was visiting - I didn't get a chance to see her. Then Wini went on a cruise, and FINALLY she returned sometime last week, I was able to get together with her n' Irene, and I could finally give Wini this birthday card I made her. I should've just mailed it - but here I thought I was going to see her sooner than soon. But it's now in her hands, and she was pretty happy to receive it. =0)

I used some prima flowers I got thru Hero Arts, buttons from my stash, and sticklez to add some shine. The image was colored with my Copics, scallop circle die cut is a Nestie. DSP is SU!

    Ok, time to get ready!

    Hugs,
    Jen

    Father's Day Card - Dustin Pike's Images

Good Friday Morning, Sisters!!! I am enjoying my hubby's day off today, and almost forgot to post this. I made this card for my hubby this year, for Father's Day. Ya, I know - kinda late I'm posting it, but I didn't have a chance to post it anywhere, and I didn't have the time either. So, finally, I am posting this baby up.

I used the image set from Dustin Pike's Space Dragon Set which I spent $3 to get. So Cheap!!! The sentiment is hand written by me, tho'. So sorry - that don't come with the set. LOL....

I really enjoyed coloring n' creating this card. I actually really enjoy coloring Dustin Pike's images. He is such an awesome artist. I'm happy to see that some of my Local sisters are also purchasing n' creating with his images. Way to go sisters!!!

I used my copic to color, for the dragon's helmet, I used the shimmer chalk too so that there could be a shimmery sheen over it. I also added shimmer everywhere else I thought it needed shimmer on my card.

Anyways, not really sure what we're going to do today, but I gotta get going and work on some images that needs to be done.

So you all have a blessed weekend. If you are in the US, enjoy your Independence Day weekend, have a great time BBQ-ing, and let's continue to pray that N. Korea isn't going to send a missile towards Hawaii.

    God Bless!!!

Video Tutorial: How to cut your EZ Mount Cling Foam Stamps & How I Store Them...

2nd posting today... just ain't got enough days in a week to share with what I've got to share with ya!! I've been asked by several of my readers if I can show how I cut my stamps n' where I store them. Of course I wish you could all just come over and see what I have, but for some, kinda expensive to get on that plane! =0)

So I bring my house to you... at least the table that I filmed it on. It's been a while since I last did a video tutorial.... I have music playing in the background, so turn your stereo down if you have any!! Also, my nails are on "break" from acrylics right now - so don't mind how ugly they look.

    Enjoy!!
