You Make Me Smile

Aloha and Welcome back my friend.... Yesterday, I spent half of my day with my gf visiting from Las Vegas.  I haven't seen this girl in many years, she visited a couple of times, but we only got to see each other for a brief moment, and then went separate ways.  But this time around, we actually hung out together for a good amount of time.
It was such a blessing to hang out with her, and fellowship.   Here is a pic of us with her grandbabies at Cinnamon's Restaurant in Kailua, HI.  {{Yes Co-Co, this is the same place we all went together.}}  :)

Anyways, today's project I created a card using CC Design's lil' girl holding a tulip.  Such a cute image.  I believe this is a digital image.  The frame cut out is from the Cricut, I believe "Art Philosophy" cartridge. I colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp. Flowers from All Natural Accents, and that was pretty much it.

May you have a blessed weekend spent with family and friends!!  My shorty has a baseball game today, so keep his team in prayer that they play to honor and glorify the Lord while they play.

Aloha n' Be Blessed....  Jen

Clearly Inspired Challenge #53 & Free Scripture Digi Image

Happy Aloha Friday, and welcome to CIC53!!! This week, the Clearly Inspired Challenge is to make your project "fruity".  So use any fruity image for your project, and come along and play with us.

For my project, I wanted to make it a framed project.  I picked up 4 frames, and had 3 more to use, so thought that I'd like to make this project a framed project.  When I saw Lisa's digital stamp set, Berry Fun, I immediately knew that I wanted a particular scripture to go with it. The scripture that I use is Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."  Love, Love, Love this scripture... such an awesome reminder of how we all should be behaving, especially for those who have accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  :)  The scripture was computer generated by me, I have made 2 different types of digitals for this scripture.  A Black and White version, and a Colored version.  The colored version is what I've used on my project.  You can scroll down to the bottom of this blog post to download these digitals if you like.

So this is how my project turned out....

STAMPS/IMAGES: Berry Fun from Clear Dollar Stamps; Galatians 5:22-23 was computer generated.  Scroll down to download a Black/White version, or Colored version.
CS/PAPER: Neena Classic Crest White CS
INK/MARKERS: Copic Sketch Markers: E29, E15, R46, R14, G07, YG06
ACCENTS/TOOLS: 5x7 Photo Frame from WalMart

Download Black and White Galatians 5:22-23 Digital Scripture Here
Download Colored Galatians 5:22-23 Digital Scripture Here

Now head on over to the Clear Dollar Stamps Blog and see what some of the other designers came up with, also to play along with us!!!  Let me know if you've joined in on the fun, I would love to check out your project and visit with you.

Thank You Cards

Aloha All... so summer is right around the corner for the kids and I.  It looks like another busy summer, with the kids wanting to go to the beach and other "out of the house" activities, and then keeping up with the house chores, and dining.  I already know that it'll be fun, but tiring.  Looking forward to it. I hope I will be able to continue to blog and create.  Maybe I will have to make other arrangements, like staying up later than I have been lately.

Well, here are 3 projects I have today.  All "Thank U" cards.  This was part of a card order that I did for one of my gf's last year.  This weekend the same gf is having her baby shower.  I am helping the host to make scrapbook page kits for her guests.  I have completed only 1 page kit.  I have to get on it, right??

This morning I woke up feeling a little dizzy, but not really sure what I was feeling, so I will call it "strange".  I thought that perhaps I didn't drink enough water as I have been recently, which is about 4Ls per day.  Yesterday, I only drank 1L.  So, I chugged down 1L this morning, and felt a little better.  I will have make an attempt to intake more water today. What a difference a day makes when you don't have that much water in your system.

Well, time to start my day.  May you have a blessed one!!  Oh and "THANKS" for stopping by!!!

Aloha, Jen

Watercoloring on A Coaster

Aloha and welcome to my blog... hope that everyone had a blessed day celebrating those that have fought for our freedom here in the US!!!  BBQ's was happening all around my neighborhood, but as for me n' my boys we ordered some pizza, and hung out with family.

Today's project is a watercolor project.  I stamped this Lily of the Valley image on to a coaster (the kine you get at a restaurant), and colored it in with Watercolor paints.  I colored everything using my watercolor paints, including the background.  The sentiment is also a LOV stamp, however from another set.  I then sealed it with a layer Modge Podge.  I adhered a couple of magnets to the back of the coaster, and can now stick it on to my fridge!  :)

Well, got lots to do today... so I need to get going!  Praying that you too can have a productive and blessed day!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Baby Favors Using Stampin' Up!'s Mini Purse Die Cut

ALOHA!!!  Welcome back.. my GF is having a baby shower, and I was more than happy to opt to make the baby favors for her shower.  I knew exactly what I wanted to use for her favors.... Yes!!  I've created some adorable mini purses using Stampin' Up!'s Mini Purse Die Cut.  Here's how they turned out:

Yesterday, I posted a tutorial on how to tie a mini bow using 2 fingers.  I used those ribbons on these favors.  You can view the tutorial here if you missed it. Here's what I did to create the look of these purses:
  • Ran cardstock Wisteria Wonder (122922) through the Big Shot (113439), using the Petite Purse die cut (125606) to cut purse die cut.
  • Cut a 2-1/2 x 3" piece on white vellum, run through Big Shot - but just placing the piece over the part where the purse flap would cut.  Then run pieces through the big shot and embossing folder with chosen design.
  • Adhere the cut and embossed vellum piece to the flap section of the purse.
  • Assemble purse.
  • Cut 1/2" of vellum for purse strap.  Adhere cardstock strap to vellum strap, then used scallop scissors to cut the edge of the vellum to make scallop trimming.
  • Used white pel to decorate with dots and heart on the front of the purses.
  • Adhered mini bow, and lavender rose from All Natural Accents

That's about it!!  You can find all Stampin' Up! products that I've used here.  Thank you for spending a little part of your day with me here.

God Bless!!!

Tutorial: Tying a Mini Bow using 2 Fingers

Hello there... welcome to my blog!  I have a tutorial for you today... I don't really know if anyone will find this handy, but I've seen tutorials on tying a mini bow using a fork, and I just don't like that the bows are not plump, they are flat, and so I wanted to try other ways that would make the bows rounders, and thought maybe using my 2 fingers would do the trick, and they did!!  And so, I'm going to show you how I did it!!!

Step 1:  Wrap the ribbon around your pointer finger and middle finger, and crisscross over each other like this:

Step 2: Take the ribbon on the top, and stick it between your 2 fingers:

Step 3: Take the ribbon that is facing you, and bring it to the right like this:

You should have both ends of your ribbon crisscrossed on one side, and both ends facing up on the other side like this:

Step 4: Now tie the 2 ends together, tightly...  I used my teeth to help me at this step.

You can make another knot to tighten it, but the flip side of the ribbon will look like this:

Here is my finished mini bow....

Here are mini bows I created in a matter of minutes!!

Aren't they all soooo cute??  I used these on Baby Shower purse favors which I will be posting tomorrow... come back then to check them out and how cute these adorable ribbons add to them, ok??

Have a blessed day!!!  Here's a scripture that I pray will bless your day!!

Aloha,
Jen

Framed Digital Image with Biblical Scripture

Hey There... hope your day is going well.  Today's project is a gift that I created, a frame image from Wee Stamps, and a bible scripture.  This is the 1st one I've created, the image is a digital image, so i was able to size the image to the size that I wanted. The scripture reads, "I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13 -

Thank You for stopping by and spending a little of your day with me.
